At All Saints’ Church, we believe that faith deepens when shared and that care grows when offered with love. Our church family provides opportunities for spiritual growth, connection, and practical support for one another and the wider community. Below you’ll find some of the ways people come together to learn, serve, and walk alongside each other through life’s journey.
Exploring life’s big questions together.
Our 12-week Alpha Course, which began in September 2025, invites anyone curious about faith to join open, honest conversations about life, meaning, and belief. Alpha is designed for everyone — whether you’re exploring Christianity for the first time or looking to reconnect with your faith.
Each evening begins with a warm, shared meal, followed by a short film and relaxed group discussion. There’s no pressure and no expectations — just space to ask questions and share thoughts freely. We hope to run Alpha again in the future, and all are welcome to take part.
Faith in action, friendship in fellowship.
Our Mothers’ Union group is a small, welcoming circle of women who meet regularly for prayer, worship, and mutual support — often gathering in one another’s homes.
They also join with the Shap Mothers’ Union and Appleby Deanery Mothers’ Union, connecting with a wider network of women across the region and the worldwide Mothers’ Union movement. Together, they share faith, encouragement, and action in service of family and community life.

A warm welcome to our village and our church.
Moving to a new place can be both exciting and overwhelming, that’s why our church delivers Welcome Packs to new residents, personally and with joy. Each pack includes small gifts and practical information about village life and our churches, helping newcomers feel at home and part of our friendly community from the start.
Bringing small children to church can be challenging, so we provide bags with a variety of quiet toys and picture books, which parents can ask for to keep them occupied.
Caring for one another through life’s seasons.
We are excited to announce the launch of our Team serving the pastoral needs of our communities in Orton, Tebay, Ravenstonedale and surrounding areas. Members of the team are available to provide visits at home, visits in hospital where appropriate, and a listening service for those who need someone to talk to.
A WhatsApp group is already being used to organise simple acts of kindness, such as arranging lifts to hospital or delivering essentials.
