All Saints’ is woven into village life, supported by locals who give their time through cleaning, flowers, grass cutting, and coffee mornings. We welcome Coast to Coast walkers who pause to explore, pray, or sign the visitors’ book, and we stay connected through The Link magazine, The Farmers Market Coffee Mornings, and our annual Harvest Supper. This shared kindness keeps our church at the heart of the community.
All Saints’ is a place to grow in faith and friendship. The Alpha Group offers open conversation over a simple meal, while the Mothers’ Union provides fellowship and prayer. Welcome Packs and our developing Pastoral Care Team help support residents through everyday challenges. Together we nurture a caring, supportive church family.
Families play a vital role in our church. Governors and volunteers from church support Orton C of E Primary School. Our interactive bible story sessions ‘Open the Book’ and ‘Families Together’ offer fun, creative activities for all ages. While the Village Sunday School, school visits, and Charlie’s Church help children feel at home here. Everything is rooted in welcome, care, and safeguarding.
All Saints’ hosts a lively mix of events throughout the year. Our monthly Farmers’ Market Coffee Morning, live music, and the big Whitsun Exhibition all draw the community together. The Harvest Supper and Families Together events add to the rhythm of village life, and Christmas brings favourites like the Christmas Tree Festival, Christingle, and Carols by Candlelight.
We are committed to caring for people and creation. Our churchyard restoration supports wildlife and visitors, and we are proud of our A Rocha Bronze Eco Church Award. Plans for solar panels reflect our commitment to sustainability. We offer dementia-friendly facilities, a hearing aid loop, and support the Upper Eden year-round food bank, with support also shared through our long friendship with All Saints in Kasese, Uganda.
Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome at All Saints’.
