The PCC is our elected committee, meeting around eight times a year to discuss every aspect of church life—mission, pastoral care, finance, ministry, and buildings. All members are DBS-checked and trained in diocesan safeguarding practices, ensuring our church remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
Standing proudly on the highest point in the village, All Saints’ Church has watched over Orton since the 13th century. The building’s Early English architecture, 16th-century tower, and Victorian chancel tell the story of generations of worship and care.
Restored and white-limewashed to combat damp, it now gleams as a beacon of enduring faith. Local and visiting teams regularly gather to ring the eight bells, while three historic bells are displayed inside the church.
Our churchyard is a place of remembrance and reflection, lovingly cared for by volunteers. Visitors can locate loved ones using our Memorial Book at the back of the church.
Our Victorian-era windows are a draw for visitors and enthusiasts alike. The Baptistery window (1892), designed by Beatrice Whistler—wife of artist James McNeill Whistler—features three angels in a flower-filled meadow, a tender memorial to a young child.
We’re committed to caring for God’s creation and planning for the future.
Our solar panel installation, approved and soon to be fitted discreetly on the roof, will help reduce energy costs and support our goal of becoming an eco-friendly church. Grants and donations are helping make this vision a reality.

Dementia Friendly: Thoughtful provisions like illustrated signage and a team ready to offer companionship or assistance.
Hearing Loop: Supporting those with hearing aids during services.
Candles & Prayer Cross: Visitors are invited to light candles or leave written prayers on the cross, which are later included in Sunday intercessions.
